Acts 1:4-5 Wait for the Holy Spirit

Acts 1:4-5 (NLT) Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before. John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
Jesus and his disciples shared a lot of meals together, in an everyday, relaxed environment Jesus shared what was to be very important instructions and gave space for His disciples to ask what was on their hearts (v6). John the Baptist promised the Holy Spirit and Jesus confirmed that promise. Without the Spirit the disciples lacked the power, authority and boldness to change the world. Perhaps we too lack power and boldness?
Come Holy Spirit and fill our hearts afresh that we might be fully used in your service.
