Ps
67:2-4 May your ways be known throughout
the earth, your saving power among people everywhere. May the nations praise
you, O God. Yes, may all the nations praise you. Let the whole world sing for
joy, because you govern the nations with justice and guide the people of the
whole world.
Let
the whole world sing for joy, God is good to all he has made. The writer of
this passage written hundreds of year before Jesus came to earth expresses God’s
heart and concern for all nations. From the very beginning God put a plan in
place to rescue all nations. This began with Abraham and God’s chosen people
who were to be a light and an example to the other nations. Israel didn’t do a
good job of witnessing to God’s goodness. But how are we doing as a witness?
Although our witness is so important how many people ever ask how well we are
doing? Do we ever do a check up of our churches and ask how effective we are in
witnessing to our community. Our heavenly Father is the father of all nations, all
peoples can praise God let us pass on the joy to those who don’t know Him.
Let
us rejoice that God has blessed us and chosen us to be his children.
