As each has received a gift, use
it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace
God has generously given us many good things including spiritual gifts. Spiritual gifts are given to us to express God’s goodness by building up and blessing those around us. Church leaders therefore have a responsibility to encourage, and develop the abundant use of such gifts. This is part of what Paul means in Ephesians when he says it is their responsibility to equip God’s people for works of service (4:12). It is our responsibility whatever our position to be good stewards of all God has given us. Are we fully using and passing on what God has taught us; are we serving others by listening or encouraging or exhorting or sharing or teaching or comforting or even rebuking? What have we learned this week that we can pass on?
