Accursed children -Condemning other Believers

2 Peter 2:14-15
They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children! Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. (ESV)

We hesitate to condemn others in such strong terms as the apostle Peter here and rightly so but both Jesus and the other apostles who write in the New Testament don’t pull their punches when it comes to condemning those who lead others astray. False teachers are very strongly criticised not just for wrong teaching which can have disastrous results but also because they are setting a bad example in the way they are living their lives. Bible teachers and ministers instinctively avoid such verses and yet they are a solemn warning to us all to be careful how we live as our lives are an example either good or bad!

Father show me where my life fails to match up to your standards and gives a bad example to those around me.
